Hi,
I found a compilation disk that Keypunch Software did, which contains three arcade games. The disk was labeled Arcade Bonanza (although the title screen incorrectly has Adventure Quest on it). This would have been one of the budget disks that Keypunch did, which had a mixture of recycled and submitted games (I have a text-based catalog of all their titles for one point in time).
Anyway, on Arcade Bonanza are Mutant, Super Stomper, and Parachutist. Mutant had been out before, and Super Stomper is a re-purposed version of Whomper Stomper. But the third game, Parachutist, is something I wrote 25 years ago today (9/16/87). At least that's what the source file says anyway (with a revision on 9/17). I vaguely remember writing it, and the version I have from that day is slightly different, in that it contains a nod to The Curse BBS. I think we may have been writing programs for some discussion on the BBS at the time, and this was something I whipped up. A few months later, I must have offered it to Keypunch (I was doing other stuff for them).
It's not terribly good, but since it's its 25th birthday, I thought I'd offer it to the archive. :)
