That's interesting. I've never heard of the Apple Fontrix Club before.  I don't know the story behind these 'Hyborian' fontpaks either (I didn't even realize there were two more fontpaks until I looked more closely at the disk image I had vs. what was on Asimov).  My impression had always been that this was a 'homegrown warez' though.  In comparing what's on Hyborian fontpak1 with those AFC .jpgs, there seem to be some fonts on the Hyborian disk that are not in the AFC disks (at least at first glance).  But there do seem to be several in common. Fontrix fonts made the rounds quite a bit back in the day, so hard to say where they originated first. It wouldn't surprise me if some got repackaged along the way.
