We were discussing MobyGames above.  To save adding a another post I'll add some further thoughts here.  IMHO, there are lots of issues that make MobyGames unsuitable as a games cataloging site, and these are particularly serious:

* They deface all of the screen shots with their logo.  How dare they !

* The search results are fixed at 25 per page.  I want to be able to list any number I like per page. e.g. 1000 per page.

* They claim Copyright over everything: "MobyGames™ Copyright © 1999-2012, MobyGames.  All rights reserved. Do not duplicate or redistribute in any form."  This claim is bogus.

If the Apple 2 community does a lot of work adding games / content to MobyGames, then it will suffer these terrible restrictions and they will have no rights to their own work.

Any Apple 2 catalog I contribute to will need to be free of all such restrictions.  All such information should be FREE / public domain.

In addition, anyone should be allowed to download a copy of the database / web site for off-line searching / browsing or for on-line mirroring - either the whole thing or the parts they want.
