I didn't miss it.  :-)  It just pales in comparison to existing tools.  But for what it's worth, I have a graphics magician-inspired routine in ZBasic that represents a picture in a very condensed stream of characters.  And you can use a java program to edit the picture.  All in all cool stuff, but still in need of some refinement.
