Cable compatible with ProFILE

A couple years ago, thanks to CSA2, I managed to get a long-cranky
ProFILE drive working by using a very short SCSI cable from a ZIP100
drive, after yanking Pin #7 from both ends. Well, now I've
reorganized my Apple II setup, and I need to connect my pair of
ProFILE drives over a longer distance to the //e that their cards are
in. So I'm looking for the most inexpensive 6-10 foot cable option to
use with this setup.

A friend has suggested that using DB25 Male-DB 25 Male cables that
were NOT intended as SCSI cables is taking a big risk. Is that true?
Would ANY DB25M-DB25M cable work with a ProFILE drive once Pin #7 is
yanked on both ends?

Case in point. What about eBay auction 360125892413? Plain-as-
vanilla DB25M-DB25M cable. 10 foot long. Would those presumably work
as ProFILE cables once Pin #7 is yanked?
