Re: Anyone remember US-DOS for Apple II (MS-DOS clone)?

Hi Hirudov,

Long time no see.

This is the same guy that later created the popular "Apple II Oasis" emulator.

At the time of USDOS he was still in school.

It was so close to MS-DOS that the editors of the local computer
magazine reviewed it and gave it very positive review. I think I still
have the article somewhere at home.

I managed to obtain version 1.11. I don't know if newer version was
released, but this version already had virtual drive support, script
files support, built-in timer, possibility for 40 and 80-columns
support, convertion tools and many other extras.

Have anyone here used it? Does anyone have newer/older version than
1.11?

Yes, I have used it. I don't think newer version was ever released, although back then the author should've had 2.0 in a very advanced stage. I believe he is the only one who has more information on this subject.
