Cedric replied back to me a few weeks ago, that he was very busy but was
still trying to get the first batch of SPVHD drives done. They are
apparently more labor-intensive than initially estimated. All the drives in
the first batch are spoken for.


Worth waiting for, in my opinion.  It's the real deal.
On a related subject: Does anyone know first-hand whether Apple SmartPort devices will work with a Laser 128? I'd love to able to use the SPVHD with my 128EX. The pinouts look compatible, but I'm not 100% sure of the firmware support and a bit gun-shy about taking the "how lucky do you feel?" approach :-).
