Ironically, the original name of the SSI-263 was the SC-02. ;-). So you'd
expect it to be an improvement.
Unfortunately, some of the phoneme transitions in the '263 were quite rough
(think pops) compared to the SC-01, necessitating extra filler phonemes to
smooth out the speech.
