Good luck with that one! About 25 years ago I tried to get permission
from Microsoft simply to redistribute an (even at that time) ancient
version of the M80 assembler. Couldn't even get a returned phone call,
much less an answer.

My sense is that costs companies the size of Apple more time and expense
to give you a response than to ignore you.

This topic has come up before more than once; just google the newsgroup. I can save you some time, unfortunately... the answer is a polite "no." Your only options are to drop it or to be a pirate.
