Well, I did. Big mistake!

My final score for Leadlight was 4/80 in 66 moves. Not bad for my first try

Has anyone else played this game? I liked it; it reminded me of the Scott
Adams adventures, the Pirate ship, Voodoo castle, etc. Good stuff.

Time to try again!

I loaded it up on my iPad with ActiveGS last spring and played it on a non-stop flight from Paris to SLC. The game play on the iPad was quite usable because of the limited amount of text needed to operate the game.

Unlike Infocom games, this game did not require mapping. At least for me it fit into my head. I also like how it changes the boarder color of the screen (IIgs only) to give you that hair-standing-on-the-back-of-your-neck feeling. Very clever. In the darkness, as others slept on the 11 hour flight, it was quiet effective.

As much as I love Infocom games, sometimes it's nice to play something a bit more "serious" without all the wit and Infocomisms.

As for my experience, I got stuck towards the end. IIRC, after defeating just about everything, and learning the "twist" in the plot (something all good horrors have), I got killed after opening some massive door or something like that.

As for finishing it, I just have not had the time. Now that you bring it up, it's going to haunt me.
