With my latest upload to Asimov, there are now three versions of the
Gremlins game archived:
/images/games/action/gremlins.dsk.gz
Crack credit: Sapphire / West Coast Pirates' Exchange
Whole disk image
/images/games/file_based/Gremlins/GammaGoblins_Gremlins_Jellyfish.dsk
Crack credit: Dr. Encinitas
Single file, 184 sectors
/images/games/file_based/Gremlins (Warezird crack), Spinner.dsk
Crack credit: The Warezird
Single file, 185 sectors
The last one was my addition. I'd like to pick the brain of someone
more knowledgeable than I about the differences between these cracks.
Why the filesize difference? What were techniques for converting from
whole-disk to a single file? Presumably The Warezird and Dr.
Encinitas followed at least slightly different processes.
