That always confused me when I was also told that it would release
dirt.  First off, the unused side is the bottom side of the disk and
how would it collect dirt.  So if you turned the disk over it should
be cleaner than the regularly used side.  The regular side would have
disk filings and be more subjected to dirt.  I even had a disk that
was warped so badly, I had a heck of time getting it in and out of the
drive, but, it still was my favorite disk, since it never failed once.

Besides the RAMfactor card, I also have a new unopened box of DSDD
disks and a disk notcher to go with it if all else fails.
