The repo has moved to subversion:

However, there are known to be additional changes that were either in CVS and
not carried over, or never committed to CVS in the first place.
The gno-devel mailing list was reinvigorated after Geoff Weiss's GNO/ME
presentation at Kansafest 2010. It has since gone quiet again until someone gets
the code to compile :)

I have studied some parts of the code, but have not been able to build it.
