Apple II+ in the trash!
Wow... never thought I'd see something like this in these parts, with II's
being as scarce as they are!
While driving to the commuter train station with my wife this morning, she
said to me, "Is that a computer in the trash?". I, not having looked, asked
her to check it out on her way back to the house. It, in fact, was a
computer! An Apple II+! She brought it home for me and I have just
finished checking it out and testing it.
It's in really great cosmetic condition! a couple of the keys have their
letters worn off, but the owner diligently painted them back on. Wow. For
cards, it has:
- a 16K "Orange Computer" language card
- a Grappler+ card
- a Microsoft CPM card
- an Apple super serial card
- a disk ][ interface card
It comes complete with an amber AMDEK monitor, Disk ][ drive (with dust
cover!) and a system saver. No books or software.
It's really in great shape! I should go back to the house and see if they
are getting rid of other Apple stuff. :) :) the owner also put on an
externally mounted joystick port with 2 ports and a switch to choose which
port was active. The ports have ZIF sockets. Very cool. It's called a "E
Z Port II" by Versa Computing.
What a great find!
