Quicktime Streaming Server with OS X

Hey everybody!

I just got an ibook! First Mac of my life! Best choice I ever made (so
far at least, still some bumps though ;) )

Here is my problem:
I would like to get my firewire video camera to work as a quicktime
stream into the internet. 

I found the Quicktime Streaming Server on the Apple homepage, but it
says is only works with OS X Server...

So I took a look at the Darwin Streaming server which is supposed to
work unter the mere OS X. My problem is: how?! I have no clue about
Linux or Unix, so what's the way to do it?

Or: is there another software I could use? It's supposed to be for a
small private homepage, not a lot of clients, at least not yet.

Any advise?!? Please help me !!!
