Re: How to get Test Drive II to run from a hard drive
I created a separate 800K partition of my hard drive (a Vulcan), and called it
something like TD2MASTER. The name has to exactly match the name of the
original floppy.
I copied all of the contents of the floppy into that partition. When I want to
play the game, I set that partition to be the boot partition and reboot the
machine. I installed some scenary disks too. Works great, though I guess
having to reboot the machine is a little cumbersome.
I'm not sure if I ever tried just placing the disk contents into a folder. It's
been ages since I messed with it. If you try it, I would try naming the folder
TD2MASTER, or whatever the name of the disk is.
cheers,
Brian
