Well, I did notice that it was included with the Marinetti v3.0d4
archive but I didn't know its official status so I decided it would be
best not to make any assumptions. :)

Yeah, the entire package right now is in developer state. I have not
been able to use v3.0d4 successfully on my IIgs yet. It either won't
connect to my ISP or, if it does, it will crash when I open a
connection to a site. I haven't reported any of this because I
haven't had time to look into it or try using v3.0d4 with nothing else
installed.

I haven't seen anything about the MacIP link layer being released yet.
I do have an ethernet equiped Mac here that I could use to bridge my
IIgs to my DSL (provided I get a hub/router/switch first) so I am
interested in what you figure out.
Just out of curiosity, have you given up on doing a null-modem
connection to a Windows machine to share its internet connection? :)
