Re: AOL? Do What?!

I realise this is on old message but I thought I would say this...

AOL used to be the following services from Quatum Computer Services
(not related to the hard drive maker)

    PC-Link - The PC verison
Apple-Link (Personal Edtion) - Apple // and IIgs (oh though it was
just a supped up Apple II verison)
    Q-Link - Commadore Version.

Then Quatum droped the Commadore 64 version and meraged PC-Link
and Apple-Link Personal they called it America Online. That's when the
Mac version came out. For awhile there America Online was PCs,Macs,
and Apple //'s. But that was to soon end. I would say 3 years later
(Or was it longer or shorter... I can't remember) AOL droped supporting
the Apple IIs to connect to the service, then it became Macs and PCs.
Before this Quatum changed their name to America Online to match that
of what they where calling their service (I think it was too meny
people where confusing it with the Hard Drive maker.)

How do I know all this? Well that's because I have been a member of
AOL back when it was called Apple Link Personal Edtion. And yes I am
still a member, but I do not use AOL for internet use, I use it for
other things.

Just my two bits about this...

What is with this subject anyways? LOL
