The bad news is that if all you have is a set of 5-1/4" disks, you're not
likely to get much useful off of them without an Apple ][.  Apple's disk
format is electrically incompatible with PC hardware.  The good news is
that you've come to the right place to find people who have Apple ]['s and
know how to use them.

Now let me think...If I remember correctly, Gutenberg was one of the first
word processors to support such things as multiple fonts and classy
looking printing.  The unfortunate thing about that is that the file
format may be non-standard as a result.  Perhaps the most useful thing to
do is to put out the call here (as you have) and find out if anybody knows
how to read a Gutenberg data disk.  It may be a standard file, and if
that's the case, almost anybody here who has a 'real' Apple ][ could
convert the files with little trouble.  The easiest output then would be
plain text which you could import into any word processor from DOS Edit to
Microsoft Weird.
