It is my understanding that a Focus will work on a II/II+ or
unenhanced IIe. The only problem is that it won't be able to boot
from it.

There is sort of a work around for this. The Focus drive comes with
something called Focus DOS 3.3 which is described as a "DOS 3.3
Emulator for use with the Focus Drive". I have tried this. It works
very well on my IIe but it is certainly not 100%. There are a few
programs that insist on real DOS 3.3. Also for some reason it doesn't
work very well on a IIGS.

Another option would be John McLean's DOS 3.3 Launcher. I have also
tried this and found it to be a very solid product. However I believe
it requires an enhanced IIe or better.
