Re: Print DIR list to ProDOS disk?

What I did was connect my Windows 2000 Pro machine to my Apple IIe with an
Apple Super Serial card. I used a regular straight-thru cable, and
configured the SSC in terminal mode. I ran HyperTerminal on the Windows
machine, set the correct speed (both ends on my equipment is 19200bps), and
set it at 7-bit. On the Apple IIe, I booted into ProDOS, went into AppleSoft
BASIC, then PR#2 (the SSC is in slot 2). From there, everything that shows
up on the screen appears within HyperTerminal. You can then enable
HyperTerminal to capture mode and save what comes across. The result text
file can be read just fine in WordPad (Notepad doesn't show the carriage
return/linefeed properly).

This can definitely be done with any other platform that has term software
and a serial port. If there's a much simpler way of doing this, I'd like to
know.
