Um, no.  There were products of this nature.  Used to have one on my Mac 
SE, for a total of 4 floppy drives (2 internal, one normal external, one 
SCSI-based).  Got one right here, though it's not hooked up to a 
Macintosh, and this one isn't an 800KB floppy drive.
