One could add, these cards usually handle lower case letters. If you
have the SHIFT wire installed (*), pressing CTRL-A might send you into
lowercase mode where you can type like you would on a typewriter.
Remember that DOS 3.3 and BASIC don't understand lowercase commands,
though. Screen control commands like HOME, HTAB, VTAB, INVERSE, FLASH
and NORMAL probably won't work with the card. HOME is usually done with
PRINT CHR$(12); some experimentation should be enough to find out the
others.
Unlike other OSs, Apple CP/M will automatically use the card, by the way.
Programs for the IIe that just do a PR#3 and PRINTs to handle 80 columns
might work with the card; those that directly manipulate IIe 80 column
hardware will not run.
