The best program to use is Hyperterminal, latest version available from
download.com. Make sure you use the latest version. On the initial
screen you may have to hit "1" <cr> a few times for it to recognize it
depending on how much crap your client spews into it.
Basic services of the BBS are available without validation, validation is
only there for those that never call back instead of making accounts all
over it.
