That section of the Wikipedia entry is probably too generic -- it probably meant that each of those cards were only for certain models of the IIc/IIc+ (i.e., not usable in the II/II+/IIe/IIgs models).  Even the cited memory expansion cards cannot be used in the earlier IIc models which do not have the memory expansion connector.

I had a ZRAM Ultra II and a Zip Chip in a IIc, but I think I was also unsuccessful fitting it in a IIc+ (was the MMU soldered on the IIc+?).
