I do believe that you have a missing model. I had a model where in my IIc the
mouse was supported from #5. It had a excelerator with 2 Mg and did support a
3.5 drive from a GS because I used to do just that. Keep in mind that it was
the last model of the IIc released and I live in Australia. The dumping ground.
at that time, for most of the hardware they could not sell at home.
I remember the slot #5 thing because I had to patch every program that used the
mouse. It took me six month to find it because all the information I could get
on the subject said slot #4 or #7 till I started with one program and tried
starting at Slot #1 and continued to rewrite till I found that slot #5 worked
and it always puzzled why this worked this way. The only explanation was it was
a sample run which never was released.
