Actually, Harold said that Bit Banger won't work with any memory card
CAPABLE of having 8 MB installed even if it only has 1 MB of memory
installed on it.  It is my understanding that it is a one byte patch
to fix Bit Banger so that it will work properly with these cards but
unfortunately I don't know which byte or what to change it to.
