Mike and all: Sorry, I am not interested in being published (till I finish my great American Novel that is ;)

Not a problem. It's your work and what you say goes. Oddly enough, with the novel... We are now set up to publish "e-books" in PDF and put them onto CDs. We just don't have the method for people to order them up yet. When you ARE ready, give us a look. We will give you a better deal than traditional book publishers (this isn't saying much).

You are welcome to republish if you think it is good enough though... (vanity of vanities saith the preacher...)

Do you mean your page on Syndicom, the last message, or anything I can find in the newsgroups (from Googol)?

But, I see some folks are interested in a blow-by-blow of networking. Ok. I am not a manual writer, and text books make me feel like making warding signs. But, I will try.

Excellent. If you don't want to write it in a "textbook" style then you can write it as if you were writing a book in the "for Dummies" series. The choice of style is yours. Although I kind of think a "Sci-Fi" or "Fantasy" style would be inappropriate for the topic under discussion. ;-)

I want some feedback though. Let me know here if I am heading in the right direction.
I started a history of the development of the Network From Heck.
you will find it in this location: http://www.syndicomm.com/~pilgrimer/nfh
as nfhmaster.htm .doc or .txt I put it in HTML, MS WORD and ASCII formats.

I'll take a gander at it in a couple of days. The publishing deadline for the January issue is coming up fast and my business partner has not delivered her half of the articles (yet again) this month.

Now All you Net whizes LISTEN UP! This is a primer for the uninitiated written by a total network idiot. I KNOW there are mistakes and I am more interested in what the newbies to net land think.

Good! It's the people who don't have the knowledge already who would be interested. If they already have the knowledge they would not be part of your target audience. Still, their knowledge would be good for correcting volcabulary and tweaks.

So far I am just on PCs but you should get the style and substance of my scribblings from that.

I'm running Linux for the most part, but I have my GS automated to create one of the articles. I'm currently using floppies to transfer the file. I'd like to be able to connect EVERYTHING and make a direct transfer.

Let me know your thoughts gang.
