Well, my old IIgs had one Apple 3.5" and one Apple 5.25" FDDs, a 4MB GS Juice
RAM card, and Apple Hi-Speed DMA SCSI card, a Cermetek 1200 baud MoDem and ran
solid as a rock, too. I had an Applied Engineering heavy duty power supply ,
though. I got it because I actually custom-built my IIgs a number of years ago
and the Apple PSU was rated at 35 watts, 1 amp whereas the Applied Engineering
PSU was 60 watts and 2 or 3 amps. I left the PSU fan in there (I highly
recommend putting it back) and had an Applied Engineering Conserver on top so
my IIgs always stayed super cool.

If you are worried about the stock IIgs PSU, you can still find them new here
and there, though people want too much for them. I think jameco may have one or
two left.

Anyhow, to make a long story even longer, I had a buddy who had a IIgs with a
stock PSU and had a lot more stuff inside than I had and he had no internal fan
AFAIK and never blew the thing up. In fact, I've never known anyone who has...
I just got the heavy duty PSU myself because I was paranoid! ;-)
