I have yet to get Marinetti to talk to the Dial-up PPP Server from
Windows 98. I figured I could use the PPP Scripted link layer in
Marinetti and write scripts that would simulate a modem connection
over a null modem cable before initiating the PPP stuff but haven't
had any success.
What I mean is that I tried doing a script that would send a RING to
the PC to make it think that someone was calling the "modem" and would
wait for the ATA that the PC should send back, then send a CONNECT
message and wait for a prompt or something from the PC to be able to
log in. I haven't spent a lot of time on it but the couple attempts
I've done have failed.
I'd love to be able to do this at present as I still don't have a
LANceGS card and I'd like to be able to use my DSL connection from my
IIgs until I do get one.
