Too bad that BeOS didn't thrive or survive.  I admit I played with it less than 
I read about it -- The BeOS Bible is a "must read" for any Apple die-hard, given 
the people involved, and the interviews are great -- but I kinda got this 
feeling of deja vu when I fired it up.  Same exciting feeling I used to get in 
the old days with my Apple IIs.

Pete Townshend said over the past couple of years that he still gets a rush of 
adrenalin when he straps on an electric guitar.  I think I understand what he 
meant by that. :-)
