Yes, but not without controversy...  ;-(

Apple had "standardized" a 2-digit "windowed" year representation,
in which years from 40..99 meant 1940..1999 and years from
00..39 meant 2000..2039.  All the Y2K patches for the A2 that
I know of tried to follow that standard.

Glen took a different approach, by allowing years 100..127 to
mean 2000..2027, making use of the binary representation of
the two-digit year field.  This approach sorts "right", but is a
departure from the Apple standard, and so conflicts with other
Y2K patches and with other file system implementations (on
the Mac, for example).
