They should fit pretty firmly into the socket, but the top will certainly
wiggle from side to side, since lateral support is cantilevered from way
down at the socket.  Try to avoid too much movement to save the socket.

Check the connector where the keyboard plugs into the main board--and
reseat it.  It's pretty unusual for anything serious to go wrong with a whole
keyboard.  And the debouncing is generally excellent.  You may have
a few exceptionally dirty key contacts (contact cleaner should help).
