hi everyone,
recently a friend of mine gave me a copy of a apple tech i.s. cd 3.0 (from
around 1992 or so). it has all the system softwares on it from system 1.0
all the way up to 7.0.1 for macs but it also has quite a bit of software for
the apple 2gs series and lisa's.
anyway i have heard that some people have been looking for originals of lisa
software (or at least copies of the original) because lisa software that has
been installed to a lisa gets written to. in otherwords, when you install
lisawrite to your lisa, the original floppys get the system serial or
something like that written to them and if everything is not 100 perfect and
matching when you go to reinstall the software, the reinstall will fail.
the cd that i got has what looks like to be original virgin images of lisa
o/s 3.1, lisa pascal workshop, lisawrite, lisacalc, lisadraw, lisagraph,
lisaguide, lisalist, lisaproject, lisaterminal, macworks xl boot disk and
macworks xl system disk.
if anyone needs info or some of these files, i will see if i can find a
place to put them so that you could download them.
also can someone tell me if DART images are compatible with newer powermacs
such as my powermac 7500 (i just haven't had time to test it yet)
thanks
bo
