Hi,
  A lot will depend on your environment. Is the IIgs on 24/7?  Is your place
air-conditioned?  If you live on a dirt road, smoke or if it is a dusty
environment, than these will cause more heat and problems.
  If you do not smoke, have an air conditioned place, and it is not on for days at
a time, and you clean the fan, and mother board from time to time. It will last.  I
like the system saver since it pulls the hot air straight up and out. I have 4
slots filled at any given time. With out air conditioning, temperature over 95 and
high humidity, I would find the keys displaying more than one character one the
screen when I typed. I would turn it off and  take a break until the weather was
better.
