Re: making acutal floppys out of .dsk images from the net

Alternately:
1 Hook Null modem cable between a IIe Super Serial Card and a Com port on a
PC (SSC set to "terminal" on DIPs)

2 Run ADT.exe on PC in DOS mode from the directory containing the *.dsk
images then type 2 (for COM2, or 1 for COM1 depending), 19200 (for 14.4 baud)
on the PC, then type BRUN ADT on the IIE

3 Put a formated (DOS 3.3 or ProDOS) disk in the IIe 5.25

4. Select R <CR> then type the file name <CR> of the dsk file you want
(file.dsk)

5. Sit back and wait a spell, (btw, I have a TW IIe on the box I do this on,
it made this process work twice as fast. Is a screamer it be!)

6. Label the floppy.

Advantages: 1 doing it this way is more hadware then software oriented. Thats
easier for those of us who like to tinker with kickabble components.
2. you can reverse the process and CREATE DSK files. Great for archiving.
