My OCR application works a bit better from scans than directly off the
scanner. So I'd scan the pages and save them as pict files. Then I'd use
the OCR software on those files. Later in a word pocessor correct page
size,
spelling, fonts then added graphics as needed and do whatever else I could
see
to make it resemble the origional. Then after converting tp PDF, linked
the table
of contents to the appropriate pages.
