I have been dusting off my old Apple II games to see what still works.
I pulled out one of my old favorites, Captain Goodnight, but it seems
the old security card is no where to be found. It was IIRC a paper
wheel where half way thru the game it stopped you, and gave you a code,
you set the wheel to the matching code, and put in the response the
wheel gave you. (it might have been a card, not a wheel, don't really
remember as it was some 15+ years ago). If you put in the correct code,
the game continued, if you put in the wrong code, it stopped you from
playing. I think it might have also been needed at the end to win the
game and turn off the doomsday device.
Does anyone have this security card thing? Or maybe a copy of the
information that was on it?
TIA
