Yeah I am still tinkering with my Trackstar and I found a need and am issuing
a call among the only people on Planet Earth who would know the answer to this
one:
Does anyone out there have a copy of the "E" software for the Trackstar?
Not the 128, and not the 128+, but the actual "E" stuff.
What is the difference? Well it seems the 128 and the 128+ are basically
reverse-engineered (Copywrite 1983-84 Language Arts Inc.) Apple ][+ systems
with a extra 64k.
The "E" is a IIe...sort of...
What I really need is the tsutilit.com program from the "e" set. The
difference here is the 128+ flavor of this setup routine only allows the PC's
360k drive to be set-up as a "trackstore" disk, NOT as a standard PrDOS
capable drive. Yes I do have the funny add-on board that allows this (and
finding it was whoa! another story!)
I am not clear from the documentation if the 360k somehow becomes a 140k Apple
drive or, if it stays a 360 and is formatable in ProDOS (like the transdrive
on a PC Transporter) and THAT is what I wanna find out. no no don't tell me!
I am a stuborn cuss! I want the program so I can break it m'self!
oh and another thing: Anyone ever tried hooking a 2nd Apple Drive (or a
Duodisk or the like) to a Trackstar?
thanks
