I don't think it's problem specific to accelerators. If you add a number of
power
hungry cards to any Apple II then some kind of fan or way of dissipating the
heat
would be a good idea. I used to use a System Saver but the fan was too
annoying.
So I built a printer stand the same height as my desk and my IIgs sans cover
sits in
a large well ventilated compartment inside it. All the cables come out a hole
in the
end and go up to the desktop. I figure the cooler it is the longer it'll
likely last.
