Re: faulty floppy drives



answered it myself.
Seems that the double sided double density soft sectore
disks I was trying to format leave *alot* of
gunge on the heads.  I had to get in and clean
them myself as the head cleaning disk could not do the job.

It is odd that I can read DSDD disks that came with
the system though...
