Re: Copy ][ Plus Abandonware Collection

Tom doesn't reply to e-mails sent to him personally it would seem, so I
thought I'd stick this in here:
(I haven't included the file attachment, however.)

Tom,

One of the files you have on this site, Copy_][_PLUS_v5x_DOCS.txt, is a file
you have grabbed from Asimov. However, it is not the complete file. The last
few lines have been deleted.

How do I know this? Because I scanned the original document. The lines
removed include details such as my Alias and the date I scanned the
document.

I am all for treating Apple 2 software as abandonware. I fully support
Asimov and the other archives out there, as is evidenced by the fact that I
chose to upload the scanned document to Asimov. I also know there are a lot
of nut cases out there, which is why I only recorded my name with an Alias.

If the preservation of Apple 2 software is to continue, people need to think
that there will be recognition for their work, no matter how small. Removing
notices from the original scanners of documents does nothing to help this
cause.

I would appreciate it if you replaced the version on the site above with the
complete version.

Incidentally, you were missing the only graphic scan from the manual. (The
only bit of the documentation I could not turn into ASCII.) I have attached
it for you to also add to the archive.

Regards,

Michael (aka Thug)
