Okay, find a heavy duty paper clip and unfold it. There is a small
hole under the drive eject button. Put the clip into the hole and
push. It should eject the disk from the drive. Sometimes the
eject button is jammed and a little nudge will unjam it. If this
fails, open the case and check the eject switch manually and
see if it is jammed. I have had this switch get jammed on my
drive once but once I got it to unjam, it was fine. When I first
got my Unidisk, a disk was jammed into the drive and this
seemed to work. It doesn't have any problems now. I believe
the mechanism is a standard Sony Apple drive so replacing
it with a standard Sony mechanism should be possible. The
major difference with the Unidisk is that it has an internal
processor, memory and controller. Hope this helps.
