Ralph,

Your problem is most likely the Power Supply itself. Rubywand's FAQ includes
some common fixes that should fix 95% of PSU faults. Most likely a couple of
capacitors are dried out and need replacing. The cost of these is rather
low, but you need someone with some experience to open it up and read the
FAQ to fix it. Often the capacitors  cause the tracks on the track side of
the board to corrode which makes it easy to find.
