Recent kernels can be compiled with their version of GCC. When RedHat
7.0 came out this problem did exist indeed, but it has been resolved by
now.

Gcc 2.9.6 was the most stupid thing they have done in years anyway. But
apart from that I find RedHat quite usable, although not perfect. But
who is?
