Reminds me of when I passed through Madison, Wisconsin, last summer.
There was a //gs for sale at a second-hand shop for about $10 and I nearly
bought it, with the intention of selling it on eBay. After some rummaging
I found the //gs technical manual and bought it for quarter. eBay'd
it for about $30.
It's pure supply and demand, with a little mob mentality tossed in.
