What I need most of all is information on cross-development tools. It was
easy developing for the C64 since I had a cross-assembler, disk image
transfer tools and conversion utilities on my Mac and Unix systems. I
developed about half on Unix, then ported everything over to a C64 floppy
and finished the job on the native machine, then imaged everything into
Commodore disk images for distribution and processing.
For the Apple, I can still use the same cross-assembler (xa) but I'm new
to doing disk image maintenance. It would be nice to use DOS 3.3, since I'm
less serviceable with ProDOS, but on the other hand my Macs would handle
ProDOS a lot better as an interchange format. What caveats are there with
memory usage with ProDOS, or is there a good memory map I can look at?
Also, is there a good technical document somewhere explaining the ins and
outs of the IIgs serial port and the Super Serial Card? I should also be
looking for documentation on serial and ADB mice operation.
Thanks for suggestions and input.
