    If you have an Apple or RamFAST SCSI controller, you can connect up
and use most any standard (SCSI based) CD-ROM drive. It would be used
mostly as a storage device for retrieving data and archive files--the
exception being one true multimedia IIgs title called "YourWorldBox"
that shipped only on CD-ROM disc.

    There's been several other discs sold for the IIgs but they've all
been data collections and archives for the most part. discQuest 
was fairly interesting though, it was a front end/translator for many
DOS/Mac DiscPassage titles (including Compton's Encyclopedia).
You can even play audio CD's using the IIgs and the right drivers.
