I require information IIGS monitor

    I hate to ask but can anyone out there help with a monitor problem. I'm
repairing a monitor from several. Adding new parts were required.

    I haven't done anything like this in 35 years, So my knowledge of IC's and
such are very scarce,  though my understanding of electronics is good it's just
very rusty. My analytical ability is to high and I always end up, Not seeing the
tree for the forest.

    Problem: Monitor makes the (thonk) when charged up. No led. not PIC or any
activity on the screen.

    It would be nice to have a full manual to chase any and all problems. I've
read the FAQ old and new but it does not supply the answer. About 5 or 6 times
and have looked for any material on the IIGS monitor.

    I am using two mullti meters. One has a function in addition to the norm for
testing NPN or PNP transistors. The other has a Hz and a diode - capacitor
function. So I'm reasonably well armed to test.

    Any suggestions or answers gratefully accknolaged
