The only issue with the power supply would be if you were trying to put
a ROM 3 motherboard into a IIe case.

The original motherboard (ROM 00 or 01) has connectors for both the IIe
and IIgs power supplies.  The 1 MB motherboard (ROM 3) only has the
connector for the IIgs power supply.

The power supply supplied by Apple with the IIgs looks exactly the same
for ROM 1 and ROM 3 machines, and has the same output ratings and
connectors.  The only obvious difference was that my ROM 3 IIgs had a
shorter cable between the power supply and motherboard.
